The Spiritual Minute: What to do if you feel stuck between two choices
In a limitless Universe, open to the infinite possibilities
Have you ever felt stuck because you had to make a decision between two choices, and you couldn’t decide which one to choose?
Well, many years ago I had this very dilemma. I sat with a spiritual teacher, telling her about my problem and I couldn’t decide which option to choose.
She then asked me, “Well, what’s your third option?”
I replied, “There is no third option. There’s only two to choose.”
She responded, “You never have only two options. You always need at least three. Go ahead, make up a third option.”
After a minute of thought, I came up with a third option.
And then a fourth option and a fifth option suddenly emerged.
I no longer felt stuck.
Thomas Edison once said, “When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this — you haven’t.”
We live in a universe of infinite possibilities.
Sometimes you feel stuck because you’re looking at what probably can happen.
In this case, what you’re doing is calculating probabilities based on your past experiences.
But what if who you are and what you’re capable of isn’t limited or defined by your past?
When you feel limited by your options, see if you can come up with one or two more options, and then maybe one or two more after that.
When you open up to seeing what else is possible, you welcome an energy that reminds you of your own creativity, imagination and power.
Just by merely being open to other possibilities, new doorways can appear, doorways that might have been there all along.
So if you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, try looking behind door number three.
Abundant Blessings and Namaste.
